LaSalle fades again at the end !

LaSalle Men's basketball team lost another game after they had a "comfortable" lead. This team just can't seem to finish games.

Today's game at the Palestra against St. Joe's was a killer. After leading 27-16 at the half, the Explorers seemed to finally be heading toward their first Big 5 win in years. But wait........5o 2nd half points by St. Joes and an anemic Explorers offense left the LaSalle fans disappointed yet again.

The officials did not help LaSalle's case today. SJU had 39 free throw attempts to the Explorer's 16. Phil Martelli (SJU coach) overworks the officials and today he was non-stop. The A-10 needs to look at this. That is a huge disparity between FTAs.

Steve Smith (LaSalle's All American candidate) was a non-factor in today's game. He had 16 lackluster points.

LaSalle needs to regroup and Coach "G" needs to light a fire under this sqaud. UPenn this Wednesday at the Palestra.
