Brett Favre retired today. He ends his 17 year career having thrown 442 Touchdown passes, which are the most in NFL history. His passing yards (61,655) are also the most ever by a Quarterback.
One statistic that may go unnoticed is 160 wins as a QB.....which are the most of any QB in history. The next closest is John Elway with 148.
If you are a fan of football, Favre has to be one of your favorites ever. He was a quarterback with a linebacker mentality. No one ever questioned Favre's heart. He was a gunslinger of a QB who probably could have played in any era. Simply put, Favre wasn't just a great quarterback, he was a great football player.
We'll all miss Brett Favre. I'm sure Green Bay, Wisconsin is in a state of mourning.
