Terrelle Pryor picks OSU - aka the NFL Prep school

Terrelle Pryor, the nation's top-ranked high school quarterback announced via a news conference, that he'll attend Ohio State. Yes, a news conference ! Pryors' "handlers" have created a circus throughout this whole process, keeping schools like Michigan and Penn State on the hook, until yesterdays OSU choice.

It would be nice to see these High School kids simply accept the scholarship to the school and not have a news conference in the gym with the whole school in attendance. Are these kids making up that hour of school ?

Pryor is certainly an imposing athlete (6'6", 230 lbs), but he is going to Ohio State for one reason only.....to prep for the NFL. Ohio State has an embarrassing student-athlete graduation rate of 53%. I'd be anxious to see Pryor's freshman year curriculum. I guarantee there is an introduction to bowling class in there.

Hey Ohio State, remember Ron Powlus. He was one of the most heavily-touted prospects in the history of high school football, out of Berwick High School in Western Pennsylvania (breeding ground for Hall of Fame QBs). After Powlus signed his letter of intent with Notre Dame, Beano Cook (ESPN analyst) predicted that Powlus would win the Heisman Trophy twice.

Notre Dame never won a bowl game with Powlus at QB. He never lived up the hype.
