Kolb Must Take Advantage of Opportunity

Pro Football can be a cruel game. To catch a break, you sometimes have to be in the right place at the right time. Today, against the New Orleans Saints, David Kolb must take advantage of one of these rare opportunities.

Regardless if he plays like Joe Montana or bombs terribly, Kolb most likely will be back holding a clipboard when Donovan McNabbs' ribs are healed.

Nevertheless, Kolb will be showcasing his skills for other NFL teams. For all intents and purposes, Kolb will never get the starting QB job for the Eagles. That was painfully obvious to him when the Birds signed Micahels Vick over the Summer.

Will Kolb be the next Kurt Warner or the next AJ Feeley ? If he performs well today (and possibly next week), he'll get an opportunity with an NFL team in 2010 or 2011. Being drafted by the Eagles, Kolb was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
