Phillies Starting Pitching has been Stellar

If you ask most Phillies fans, they'd tell you this season has been bad. But, if you check out the standings, the Phillies lead the NL Wild Card and are currently 2 games out of the National League East Division lead.

This is all without anyone having a good year at the plate. The majority of the Phillies success can be attributed their starting pitching. It's been fabulous. Everyone expected Roy Halladay to have a good year, but Cole Hamels has been excellent, despite the anemic run support he's received, and the addition of Roy Oswalt was brilliant.

If the Phils can make the post season, these three starters will give Philadelphia a distinct advantage and may propel them to a rematch with the evil empire, the New York Yankees in October.

If the hitting finally turns around, you can book a ticket to the Phillies parade in October, celebrating their 3rd World Series title.
