The Phillies managed only 1 run off the Pirates, Zach Duke ? The Phil's hitters made Duke look like Sandy Koufax.
This upcoming series w/ the Nationals will determine the season for the Phillies. If they lose 2 out of 3, they'll be 9.5 games out of 1st place. That combined with the way the Braves are playing, will be the end for the Phillies.
If they do lose 2 or 3 games, let's hope Ed Wade knows he's out and starts to dump players. At least the Phillies can get some much needed prospects. Knowing Ed, he'll make a deal for a middle reliever and tell the press that "we're still in this thing........".
