All 25 players on this roster should be candidates for a trade.
Suggestion #1 - Trade Billy Wagner. He is a free agent at year end and will most likely not re-sign w/ the Phillies. Get something for him now ! Red Sox - Bill Mueller 3B for Wags. Mueller led the AL in batting 2 years ago and can be counted on to get clutch hits.
Suggestion #2 - Move Padilla to the Closer role.
Suggestion #3 - Fire Charlie Manual. Gene Lamont managing in the Phillies Minor leagues could fill in.
Suggestion #4 - Trade Kenny Lofton. He's a cancer and a malcontent. Dump him on some AL Pennant chasing team (maybe back to the Yankees).
Suggestion # 5 - Ask the A's who they want for Barry Zito. Offer anyone except for Utley and Rollins.
Suggestion # 6 - Get down to the Locker room and call some people out ! Act like a leader and rack some ass once in a while. The players need to know that you're the boss.
