The Greatest New Jersey High School Wrestler Ever


On Sunday, March 12th, Mike Grey of Delabarton High School became New Jersey's first four-time state wrestling champion.

Grey won the 125 pound championship defeating Jimmy Conroy of South Plainfield, 13-7. Conroy was the NJSIAA champion at 103 pounds in 2004.

Grey finished his high school career with a 157-2 record. He never lost to a New Jersey wrestler. His 2 losses were to out of staters during Holiday or pre-season tournaments.

Grey had previously won State titles at 103, 112 and 119 pounds. He is heading to Lehigh University to continue his wrestling career.
