Unfortunately, a tie in week 11 to the worst team in the NFL, the Cincinnati Bengals may come back to haunt the Eagles in 2008. Even if the Birds win both of their final games, they need Tampa Bay or Atlanta to lose a game.Finishing 10-5-1 and not making the playoffs will be a tough pill to swallow, but the team had numerous chances to lock down wins throughout the year and they came up short.
A fourth quarter fumble by Brian Westbrook in Week 2 against the Cowboys erased a sure win there. First and goal from the 3 yard line in the 4th quarter against the Bears in week 4 and they couldn't score, nullifying another win.
If the Eagles do make the Playoffs, they could make a run. First round opponent is most likely the Arizona Cardinals who the Eagles whipped 46-20 on Thanksgiving night, then a potential trip up to the Meadowlands to play the Giants in the Divisional round.
Atlanta does not seem like a playoff team. They have overachieved all year. If they win this week in Minnesota, I guess I'm a believer !
I wonder if Michael Vick gets the NFL Network in prison ?
