The Eagles can no longer depend on Westbrook

If Brian Westbrook worked in my office, I'd probably have to fire him due to his lack of dependability. He calls in sick more than your office hypochondriac ! Westbrook is injured again and in his eight seasons as an Eagle, he has never played an entire season. He is constantly hurt and the Birds need to move on and not depend on him anymore. Each week, Westbrook has some type of ailment, this week it's his ankle, last year, his knee.

It's probable time to have LeSean McCoy (rookie from Pitt) play with the first team. He is a better "between the Tackles" runner, but lacks the receiving skills that Westbrook possesses.

When healthy, Westbrook is one of the best in the NFL, but he simply can't stay on the field anymore.

Andy Reid has cut loose aging veterans in the past (Bobby Taylor, Jeremiah Trotter, Jon Runyan), so it's time to turn the page at the Running back position too.
