Jordan's speech was very unfocused and choppy and he spent time taking shots at people who had little to do with his career, like Jeff Van Gundy and Bryon Russell. Instead of thanking the NBA veterans who paved the way for guys like him to succeed, he had to bring up the fact that in his first All Star game, the veterans conspired to "freeze him out" and not give him the ball during the game. Get over it, Michael !
Class acts like David Robinson and John Stockton thanked and praised their families for being so supportive during their careers. Jordan, on the other hand, barely mentioned his children, saying, "Im glad I'm not you guys", the implication being no one can live up to such greatness.
Jordan came off as a jerk, plain and simple. He may have been the greatest NBA player ever, but Friday night in Springfeild, Massachusetts, he was a 2nd stringer.
