Do we really believe the 76ers will trade Allen Iverson ? For the past 10 years, AI has electrified the Philadelphia basketball faithful with his prolific scoring. However, all of that excitement has never produced an NBA Championship and it certainly doesn't look like we'll see the NBA Title in Philadelphia for the next few years.
With that said, Billy King, the Sixers GM, will make a career decision shortly. Will he blow up this team and start from scratch ? If that is the path he chooses, it is almost certain that AI will go.

King has made some poor decisions during his short tenure as General Manager of the 76ers. He has done a less than stellar job managing the salary cap. This team is strapped with large, suffocating contracts that prevent the Sixers from signing any free agents for the next 2 years. Chris Webber is scheduled to earn $22 million next year. Samuel Dalembert is in the 2nd year of a 6 year, $58 million deal.......Kyle Korver, is also is in the 2nd year of a 6 year $27 million deal. Steven Hunter....yes Steven Hunter will make over $5 million next year.
Oh....and don't overlook Iverson's $76 million dollar extended deal (until 2009).
My gut tells me that the 76ers will keep AI and let him finish his career out here in Philadelphia. I believe owner Ed Snyder feels he's the only marketable player on this team that could fill seats down at the Wachovia Center.
Selling tickets is the name of the game ! Where have you gone Dr. J. ???
