It's time.......Phillies need to fire Manual

The Phillies are on a death spiral right now. They have lost 7 in a row and 15 out of their last 18 games. They are un-motivated and are simply going through the motions. Historically, when this happens to a baseball team, it's time to fire the Manager.

Manual has shown an inability to get this team "fired up" and it reflects that in their recent 3 week losing streak.

If Pat Gillick (Phillies GM) fires Charlie, he'll most likely replace him on an interim basis with Gary Varsho, the current bench coach. Frankly, Varsho has shown little this year too ! It's his job to be the sounding board for the manager and suggest approaches, etc. If he's doing that, it hasn't been too successful !

The Phillies blew it when they didn't hire Jim Leyland.
