Reid shows courage in his QB switch

Andy Reid showed some managerial courage by naming Michael Vick the Eagles starting Quarterback. Vick is the hottest QB in the NFL and to sit him down in favor of Kevin Kolb just doesn't make sense.

For 3 years Kevin Kolb did everything asked of him. He bided his time and stayed the loyal backup of Donovan McNabb. The only thing Kevin Kolb did wrong was get hurt in week 1. Kolb should eventually get his chance to start in the NFL, but for now, it looks like Vick has the Eagles reigns.

It's too early to speculate, but if Vick continues at this pace and has a great year, the Birds have yet another tough decision ahead of them. Do they re-sign Vick and establish him as the starter for the next few years (relegating Kolb to a perennial backup in the league). Or do they give the Kolb experiment another shot. I guess we'll find out later this year.

Fun times in Philly !

It's a shame Vick's even in the league.
