Golden has Temple on a Roll !

Temple's football team is 3-0 and could break into the Top 25 rankings shortly. A good showing against Penn State next week will solidify them as a "hot" Division I program.

Temple's ascent into a legitimate program is amazing. From 1980 until 2006, when current coach Al Golden took over the program, the Owls were 30-205 and probably the worst Division football program in the country. The school comtemplated dropping football numerous times.

Golden has resurrected the program and Temple's appearance in the 2009 Eagle Bank bowl was their first in 30 years. This is a good news, bad news story. It is highly probable that coach Golden will be scooped up by one of the top Division I programs next year. Dare we say, Penn State to replace Joe Pa ?

Let's enjoy this while we can Temple fans. Golden's "golden touch" may soon be moving to Happy Valley.

Let's go Owls !
