John Marzano died very unexpectedly Saturday. He had become my favorite baseball analyst. I loved his work on Daily News Live (DNL). He always represented Philadelphia proudly. From the Olympic games in 1984 to his most recent stint as an analyst at MLB.COM, he spoke fondly of Philadelphia. Marzano was from South Philadelphia and attended Temple University, where he was inducted in the school's Athletic Hall of Fame.
I always enjoyed his insight into the game. He'll be missed by many people. Johnny Marz, Rest in Peace.
