The Phillies are right where I would have expected them to be. They are in first place, despite a 4-11 against American League teams. No major injuries (expect Rollins), so if they can stay healthy, the Phillies should begin to pull away from the Marlins, Mets in the N.L. East.Manager A- (Charlie Manual is the recognized boss now !)
Starting Pitching B+ (much better than expected)
Relief Pitching A- (best in the National league and Lidge has been lights out)
Catching C+ (Ruiz has been awful. Coste should play every day)
Hitting B- (Howard, Victorino, Jenkins, Rollins need to heat up)
Defense B+ (No issues)
Overall Grade B+ (First Place on July 2, including a terrible June roadtrip)
MVPs so far : Cole Hamels, Brade Lidge and Chase Utley
