Iverson a Sixer ?

Here's a wild idea. I think the Philadelphia 76ers should sign Allen Iverson (again). I can't believe I just said that, but I think it's actually a good idea. Having divorced the Memphis Grizzlies after only playing in 3 games, AI is back on the market. His quick departure in Memphis was due to his desire to be a starter.

This 76ers team is not that good and could use an offensive spark. The real reason, Ed Stafanski and the Sixer's brain trust would sign AI would be to put people in the seats. Philadelphia is near the bottom in NBA attendance and Iverson would certainly help improve that. AI is still immensely popular in Philadelphia. In essence, for the NBA veteran minimum salary, which Iverson would most likely get, the Sixers would get their money's worth.

Iverson should end his career in Philadelphia where in a few years, #3 will be hanging in the rafters among the other Philadelphia 76ers greats.

Yo dude! That would be flippin' awesome. I think AI needs to grovel a bit and then we can reluctantly take him back. He's still a good player.

AI is the man. The Grizzlies are idiots for not playing him.
